Interface Platform Screen Doors to Signaling system
This is a normal method of interfacing between signaling and PSD system to synchronize rolling stock doors and PSD.
By interfacing system, if there is fault in PSD system, RS is prevented to approach the station.
When rolling stock stops in right stop position, signaling system transmits OPEN COMMAND to Main Control Unit. Main Control Unit transmits the command to PSD to open the doors.
Signaling system transmits CLOSE COMMAND to Main Control Unit. Main Control Unit transmits the command to PSD to close the doors.
After PSD is in ADC (All Doors Closed & locked) status, rolling stock can depart the station by the start signal.

Interface Platform Screen Door to Radio Frequency System (RF system)

For Retrofit, to modify existing signaling system is required. This greatly increases the amount of installation; moreover sometimes it is impossible to modify existing signaling system. For less expense and the same reliability for the retrofit installation, RF system can be applied.
In Radio Frequency (RF) system, there are two RF devices to be installed on a platform and a rolling stock to communicate each other, RF On-board (RFO) and RF Ground (RFG).
When a rolling stock stops in right position, RFO transmits information to RFG that rolling stock doors are open via PCU (PSD Central interface Unit). Same procedure is to be applied for closing.
